Armond Joy Blackwater (6/1/1953 - ????)
Profile
Poems -- Armond Blackwater is recognized as a poet with an amazing influence upon songwriters and poets of the new beat generation. The Cafe' recently imposed upon Armond to comment on some of his works.
Red Core This song was the first written for my grandchildren. It's a prelude to my next recording effort titled If My Descendants Could See Me Now.
Don't Touch The Gods How surprised was I when this song became a hit? It has become my most requested song. "Seek the light within us all, but don't touch the Gods," rattles the main theme of the song. I believe that God lives within each of us: I am the God of my universe. God graced each of us with an understanding of Him, which is Us, we just need to spend less time looking outwardly for signs of the Lord and look where he actually lives: in our hearts and souls.
Jack Realized Beat A tribute to Jack Kerouac for popularizing and expounding upon the thoughts of John Clellan-Holmes that we are a beat generation. I grew up in the original beat era, I see the new generation which is more beat than Kerouac ever imagined. The music surrounds the words in an anachronistic manner. A simple organ part coupled with very mechanical drumming represents the dicotomy between the lyrical orientation of the soul as opposed to the forced mechanization of modern society.
Klaatu Fun with a sampler. The basic thought here is that we silly humans would forget all of our petty squabbles if an alien force appeared and told us to knock this war shit off.
Death of the Nations It is the power mongers who agitate and rally to war. Without "The Leaders" there would be no need for war. War is the result of a global failure of leadership. When was the last time we humans had a leader who actually pointed us in the direction that we need to be going? I put it at 2000 years, back when that Christ dude was rising to power. They killed him because he threatened the profiteers and money changers. Jesus, these cats are greedy.
Downloads -- It's all about collaboration. Put music, noise, or whatever behind them, use them in whatever way you see fit. Give credit and share your creation with Armond, he gets a huge kick out of it.
