We await the landing of Klaatu

To hear the words

Of the messenger from the stars

"Klaatu Berada Nikto"

We lay hopeful eve

To a promising sky

For the trace of the face

Of an alien friend

Delivering this simple message:

Klaatu: "The universe grows smaller everyday."

Tom Average: "I don't care about the rest of the world."

We're not alone in the galaxy.

Our neighbors don't seem amused.

Klaatu: "I'm impatient with with stupidity.
I'm impatient with stupidity. I'm impatient with stupidity. I'm impatient. I'm impatient. Impatient. Impatient.

The Penalty for provoking their actions

is too terrible to risk..."

"Their actions cannot be revoked."

What a tawdry sight this earth must be.

Nations throw petulant tantrums.

Childish - Not child-like.

The Tribes haven't advanced in 30 Thousand years.

A man from space

Is the water in the face.

That will wake these Earthen-ists up.

And he'll leave the nations of the world

Dancing this sacred dance.

Klaatu: "The universe grows smaller every day!"

Tom Average: "I don't care about the rest of the world."
